How we approach web design & development

A structured, repeatable process — so you know exactly what happens at each stage and why.

Aligned to
  • WCAG 2.2 AA
  • Core Web Vitals
  • Semantic HTML & structured data
  1. 01

    Discovery & architecture

We establish who the site is for and what it needs to make happen, then plan the page structure and URLs around that. On a redesign this is also where the existing URLs get inventoried so nothing that currently ranks is quietly dropped.

  2. 02

    Design

We design real pages with your actual content rather than filling a template with placeholder text, and we design the mobile view as seriously as the desktop one — that is where most of your visitors will be.

  3. 03

    Build

Built as a real codebase: semantic HTML, self-hosted fonts, responsive images, and a performance and accessibility budget enforced while we build rather than audited after launch.

  4. 04

    Launch & hand over

Redirects, analytics, sitemap and Search Console are configured before go-live, not after. Then the code, the documentation, and the credentials are transferred to you.

Is this right for you?

We'd rather be honest about fit up front than sell you the wrong engagement.

A strong fit if…

  • Businesses whose current site is slow, unmaintained, or invisible in search
  • Quebec companies needing a properly bilingual EN/FR site rather than a translated afterthought
  • Teams who want to own their code instead of renting a page builder indefinitely

Might not be the best fit if…

  • Anyone needing a single throwaway page live tomorrow — a template will genuinely serve you better and cost less
  • Projects where the only criterion is the lowest possible price

Common questions

Everything you need to know about our web design & development services.

A template gets you a look. What it usually does not get you is a site that loads fast on a mid-range phone, that Google can crawl and index properly, that works with a keyboard and a screen reader, and that you actually own. We come at the web from the infrastructure and security side, so those things are the starting point rather than an upsell. You get the source code, and you can host it anywhere.

Yes, and it is a genuine specialty rather than a checkbox — this site is one. Done properly, a bilingual build needs localized URLs, correct hreflang annotations so Google serves the right language to the right visitor, translated metadata and structured data, and a language switcher that keeps you on the same page instead of dumping you back on the homepage. Machine-translating a page and hoping is not the same thing, and Quebec businesses have Charter obligations that make getting it right a legal matter as well as an SEO one.

That is the usual goal. We integrate a headless CMS so your team edits content in a normal interface without touching code or waiting on us. If you would rather we handle changes, we can do that too — the difference is that it stays your choice, because you hold the code either way.

You do, in full, on final payment — source code, design assets, and content. There is no proprietary builder to stay subscribed to and no lock-in that makes leaving expensive. If you later want a different developer to take over, they can.

Yes, and this is the part most redesigns get wrong. Whatever ranking equity the current site has lives in its URLs, so before anything changes we inventory the existing pages, map every old URL to its closest successor with a permanent redirect, and carry over titles, metadata and structured data rather than starting blank. Search Console gets watched afterwards so a problem shows up in days rather than a quarter later.

A focused marketing site is typically three to six weeks; a larger bilingual build or one with commerce or custom application work runs longer. We scope in phases and price per phase, so you see a real cost before committing to the whole thing. We would rather quote accurately after a short discovery than throw out a number that changes later.
